KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE IN PUBLIC

Children are curious by nature, so it can be difficult to get them to always stay near their parents or to not wander off. Statistics show that roughly 90% of families are affected by a child wandering off at some point. Studies show that a US child goes missing every 90 seconds and more than 2,000 American children get lost everyday. Even though not all of children who go missing are abducted,  80% of first contact between  a child and abductor occurs within a quarter mile of child’s home. It has also been determined that 74% of abducted children who are murdered are dead within three hours of the abduction.
